Social Leadership Programs

INJAZ aims to promote a sense of social responsibility encouraging students to embark on constructive initiatives through its programs focusing on building leadership skills and increasing their sense of responsibility, belonging, and good citizenship.

Leadership Course (LCS)
Objective: Help students develop their leadership skills
Target Group: Grade 10
Type: Curricular - Course
Duration: 6 weeks (one-hour session per week)

Description: This course highlights the characteristics of a leader and teaches students the art of decision-making. It also helps them develop leadership skills to become effective leaders in their own communities thus having a positive impact on managing their lives on both professional and social levels.
Young Volunteers’ Day (YVD)
Objective: Promote volunteerism culture and good citizenship among school students
Target Group: Grades 7-11
Type: Extracurricular – Social Leadership Activities

Description: This program aims to raise awareness about social responsibility and community service in schools. Students, from grades seven through eleven, team up with INJAZ volunteers and carry out various activities at their respective schools. Activities include cleaning, painting walls, planting trees, collecting clothes, and cooking meals for the less privileged in addition to many other activities. Such activities strive to instill the principles of giving back to society at an early age.
We Are Social Leaders (WSL)
Objective: Emphasize the importance of developing leadership skills and their impact on professional and social lives, in addition to providing students with an added incentive to be publicly recognized and awarded for their contribution to developing their community.
Target Group: 18-24 yrs
Type: Curricular and Extracurricular - Course, Project, and National Competition
Duration: 5 weeks (one-hour session per week), competition

Description: During the course, the characteristics of a leader are highlighted and discussed. It also provides students with the opportunity to serve their communities through the implementation of a leadership project under the volunteer’s supervision. The project’s aim is twofold; it allows the participating students to practice their leadership skills and developing their local communities.

Description: Having a genuine belief in Jordanian youth’s capabilities and great appreciation to the knowledge, experience and insight of Jordan’s business and social leaders, INJAZ launched Social Leaders Program (SLP); an initiative aspiring to empower and enable youth to lead Jordanian society towards a better future through interacting with some of the most successful business and social leaders in Jordan. SLP is composed of three components: text-based roundtable retreats, mentorship, and social leadership projects. During the retreats, the program exposes the participating students and business and social leaders to reading material focused on leadership that is inspirational, informative, and motivational to broaden their horizons and prepare them to embark on a journey of personal discovery and change. Each participating student is matched with one of the business and social leaders who act as his/her mentor and guide them through the implementation of high impact social leadership projects. The projects must tackle key issues and help solve challenges facing the Jordanian society.
i-team
Objective: Provide university and college students with a platform to actively learn and apply work skills and be productive members on their campuses by playing an active role in realizing INJAZ’ mission throughout the year
Target Group: 18-22 years
Type: Extracurricular - Active Committee
Duration: 1 academic year

Description: INJAZ aims to empower university and college students and provide them with opportunities to work alongside INJAZ in fulfilling its mission for the Jordanian youth. As a result, INJAZ' “i-team” was created through recruiting university and college students based on certain selection and recruitment criteria. Members of the i-team acquire hands-on practical and leadership skills as they facilitate the tasks of INJAZ volunteers and support INJAZ courses and programs at their universities and colleges.
