Career Guidance Programs

INJAZ offers several programs aiming to raise awareness on the different career options available to prepare the youth for the job market and motivate them to choose the future career that best suits their interests and capacities.

I want to be.. (بدّي أكون..)
Objective: highlighting various career options to school students and help them choose a career that best match their skills and aspiration at an early stage.
Target Group: Grades 7 - 8
Type: Extracurricular -Interactive Workshops
Duration: 2-3 days

Description: This program brings the private sector, school students and their parents, together to explore the different options the students have for their careers. This program also helps students identify their talents, skills, capabilities and desires towards their future careers, thus guiding them to the best means of pursuing their dream career. A mini career guidance session is applied in an interactive workshop in the first day, then the students have a chance to interact with private sector professionals from different sectors according to their preference. A third activity involves parents in an open discussion session with proper facilitation and shared resolutions.
Job Shadow
Objective: Provide students with practical experience in a job of interest for one day
Target Group: Grade 9-10
Type: Extracurricular - Experiential Program

Description: This experiential one-day program allows ninth and tenth graders to “shadow” a business professional at the workplace based on the student's field of interest. Such a program provides the student with an opportunity to have a closer look at what a real job is like to help them decide on the likelihood of pursuing a career in that profession in the future.
Career Month
Objective: Provide student with a closer look at selected industries available in the job market .
Target Group: Grades 10 - 11
Type: Interactive Workshops and Site Visits

Description: Career Month program allows school students to explore various business sectors through a series of workshops and site visits whereby business professionals from selected fields explain to students various aspects of their jobs. This interaction provides students with a comprehensive background of different career options enabling them to have a clearer vision for choosing their future career paths.
Internships
Objective: Prepare students for the job market by providing them with short-term work experience
Target Group: 18-24 years
Type: Extracurricular - Practical Work Experience

Description: This program seeks to provide higher education students and fresh graduates with a competitive edge by providing them with short-term work experience before joining the job market. INJAZ along with a group of its partners have opened their doors to energetic and passionate interns to assist their staff at different units helping them carry out daily tasks and responsibilities while gaining important work experience.
Career Fair
Objective: Prepare youth for the job market
Target Group: 18-24 years

Description: IN This program focuses on preparing job seekers for the job market through providing them with many workshops led by professional trainers from different backgrounds on CV writing, conducting successful interviews and overall success at work. In addition, job seekers meet with Human Resources representatives who provide one-to-one free CV assessment and consultation.
