School Adoption Program

The School Adoption Program (SAP) is a national program launched under the Patronage of HM Queen Rania Al-Abdullah in May 2006, initiated and implemented by INJAZ and its two strategic partners; the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Private Sector.

The SAP overall goal is to develop the Jordanian educational sector, and help create a new ‘culture’ of corporate social responsibility in which the private sector plays a major and direct role in the development of the education system.

Since the launch of the program in 2006, there have been many accomplishments that have reinforced the great need of this program. The areas for improvement in our schools are numerous, which makes every contribution to improve the schools advantageous. The experience has demonstrated both the need for such programs and its direct impact on improving the school environment. Up-to-date, 200 public schools have been adopted by 40 companies.

Objectives

  • Improve the learning environment in public schools
  • Develop the skills and expand the horizons of schools' students through direct interaction with the private sector
  • Create a culture in which the private sector plays a major and direct role in the development of the education system
